Full-Spectrum Products For Inflammation

Full Spectrum products contain a variety of cannabinoids and terpenes. Which ones, other than CBD, help decrease inflammation? Research is showing that CBG and CBC, other cannabinoids in the hemp plant, may also help.

CBG

Cannabigerol, or CBG, was researched in this study to discover whether it could help with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). The results were remarkable. It states that: “In conclusion, CBG attenuated murine colitis, reduced nitric oxide production in macrophages (effect being modulated by the CB2 receptor) and reduced ROS formation in intestinal epithelial cells. CBG could be considered for clinical experimentation in IBD patients.”

CBC

Cannabichromene, or CBC, also seems to help with inflammation, according to researchers. This study, by the National Institutes of Health, shows that CBC selectively reduces inflammation cause by hyper motility. It is not dependent on cannabinoid receptors.  This study also explains CBC’s anti-inflammatory properties. It explains that CBD was just as effective as phenylbutazone

At equivalent doses, but because CBC is far less toxic, it can be given in larger doses to enhance the effect.

Alpha – Humulene

Alpha – Humulene, or Humulene, is a terpene that also exhibits many anti-inflammatory properties. As this study explains, Alpha Humulene, and another terpene, trans-caryophyllene are also found in plants that are not hemp. However, hemp also contains these terpenes. The study concluded that, “The anti-inflammatory effects of alpha-humulene and (-)-trans-caryophyllene were comparable to those observed in dexamethasone-treated animals, used as positive control drug. All these findings indicate that alpha-humulene and (-)-trans-caryophyllene, derived from the essential oil of C. verbenacea, might represent important tools for the management and/or treatment of inflammatory diseases.”

All of That’s Natural products help contain all of these cannabinoids and terpenes. When combined, they enhance the effect of each other – known as the entourage effect. This is the beauty of full-spectrum products.
