DHHS Allows Study About Cannabis and PTSD

The United States Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) signed off on a study to investigate how cannabis may be helpful to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

There have already been many studies showing success at various cannabinoids in cannabis being therapeutic for the many symptoms of PTSD including anxiety and depression.

The organization responsible for getting this study approved, and subsequently laying the groundwork for additional studies and more discussion about this plant’s potential benefit to humankind is the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS).

As more and more States implement medical cannabis laws, as people realize the huge potential for non-psychoactive applications of cannabinoids from hemp, and as the federal government begins to bring common sense into medical treatment policies – the consumer and Medicine Freedom will win.
